Mental health therapy

Mental health therapy offers a confidential, non-judgmental space to talk about what you are going through, better understand your difficulties and build strategies adapted to your situation.

This service does not replace emergency services. In a crisis, call 911, or 811 (Info-Social).

What is it?

At Physioversal, mental health matters as much as physical health. An injury, an accident, pain or time off work can weigh on your mood, sleep and relationships.

Sessions help you put words to what you are experiencing, recognize what helps you and develop practical tools for daily life. Your follow-up can be coordinated with your other therapists, if you wish.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a doctor's prescription?
Private clients: a prescription is not required, but it is often helpful, as it helps your therapist better understand your full situation and diagnosis. If you're not feeling well, our therapist is here to help you either way.
PFSI (IFHP), CNESST and IVAC clients: you need a prescription. If you don't have one yet, contact us and we will do our best to help you.
Does insurance cover my treatment?
Private clients: we give you an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check your coverage with your insurer.
PFSI (IFHP), CNESST and IVAC clients: you have nothing to pay at the clinic; we take care of it directly with your file.
How long is a session?
Physiotherapy and occupational therapy: initial evaluation of 50 minutes, then follow-ups of 30 or 60 minutes, based on the treatment plan your therapist creates for you.
Massage therapy: 60-minute session.
