Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy helps you get back to the activities that matter to you (work, self-care, leisure) after an injury or illness. Your occupational therapist assesses your abilities and suggests practical strategies, exercises and adaptations.

What is it?

Occupational therapy focuses on your occupations: everything you do in a day, such as getting dressed, cooking, working, studying or enjoying your hobbies. Your occupational therapist looks at your physical abilities, concentration, energy, mood and environment.

Based on this assessment, they suggest exercises, strategies and practical adaptations so you can get back to your activities safely and at your own pace.
